Classic hot cross buns
It's not Easter without hot cross buns! Stick to the spiced classic, or mix it up with our triple chocolate, chilli cheese or apple and cinnamon versions
Follow our recipe for classic hot cross buns (see 'goes well with' below), then add grated apple and warm cinnamon to the mix for a fancy twist

Make the dough as directed using another ½ tsp ground cinnamon (1 tsp total). Knead in 1 grated apple after the first prove with the other dried fruits, adding a little more flour if the dough becomes too wet. Continue with the recipe as before.
